Valley Industrial Supply Co., Inc. - VISCO - was founded in 1977 by Al and Connie Huntington. VISCO started as a wholesale industrial and mill supply company calling on factories, power plants, contractors, and institutions. Al Huntington maintains, "the key to our success was the ability as a new and unproven company to secure product distribution agreements with major national corporations such as CooperTools, Morse Cutting Tools, J.H. Williams, Ridge Tool, Loctite and many others."
In 1987, Valley Industrial Supply began selling Nicholson bandsaw blades to a manufacturer of thin kerf pallet resaws. VISCO has become one of the largest suppliers in the world of the thin kerf bandsaw blades to the pallet resaw and portable sawmill industry. Simonds and Lenox bandsaws have now been added to VISCO's product line. Today, Valley Industrial Supply has nine employees and over 150 product lines. VISCO carries a large inventory of products and markets the industrial, mill, welding and janitorial supplies for immediate delivery or shipment.
